During your initial visit at Muswell Hill Smile, we will perform a routine screening involving an oral examination and panoramic x-ray which will reveal hidden issues otherwise not seen or felt. We will also take the time to listen to your concerns, even if this includes a fear of the dentist or dental treatment.
We will look at your medical and dental history, then, depending on your individual needs, will diagnose any problems and create a personal plan for your treatment. This will include an outline of treatment costs. Your plan will include details of any follow-up appointments required, and a full time-scale for your treatment. We discuss the details of that plan so that you can make an informed decision regarding your dental care.
Most patients are encouraged to see us twice a year for exams and cleanings. If you are facing a particular dental problem, such as gum disease, you will benefit from frequent visits. Included in dental checkups are the evaluation of all tooth surfaces, gum tissue and other soft tissues and existing restorations such as fillings, crowns, and veneers.
